Playing in the Snow

It was a beautifully sunny day outside, relatively warm (-18 degrees Celsius), with very little wind. A day that doesn't happen very often in southern Saskatchewan. So my sisters and I bundled up dude and took him outside to meet winter.

He wasn't impressed with the idea. At least he wasn't impressed with getting his whole snowsuit put on, including mitts. He apparently doesn't like being bundled up, especially if he is already in a warm house. But as soon as we got that guy outside he was so .... well... excited? nonchalant? non-caring? Yep, we were excited to take him outside and put him down the slide and have him slide into the snow bank at the bottom. My child? He didn't care one sniff. In fact, I think he was bored.

So, when one is bored we turn to the entertaining world of animals:

Lane loves his puppy and the puppy never fails to produce a smile on Lane's face. Which in this instance was quite handy.

And seeing as how he seemed to be enjoying the whole outdoor experience we threw him in the sled and pulled him around the yard.

The pictures are lying. He isn't that thrilled with the sled ride; he's laughing at his puppy running through the snow and bottoming out in the snow bank.

Or maybe he really did enjoy the adventure. Either way, he wasn't impressed when we took him back inside.
