Grandpa Dennis and Auntie Amy came up on the weekend to meet Avery and to take Grandma Cherie home. Lane was quite excited to have MORE people to play with and entertain but the highlight of Grandpa's visit was the guitar. For a while now Lane has been using all sorts of toys as a guitar - tupperware containers, serving platters, sticks, whatever he can get his hands on and apply his imagination to. No more. Grandpa Dennis fixed him up with a guitar that resembles Daddy's guitar.
The kid was stoked.
It has a neck for his fingers to grasp and body that he can strum on. Just like daddy!
The guitar makes its way into every conversation and has even made it into bed with the kid. Now, if we could just figure out why he insists on wearing the hat while playing the darn thing...

Haha, this is great! The combo between guitar and hat is amazing!
And for the record, Lane can no longer be "the kid", as there is now two!!
wow, that sounds exactly like our boy. Anything from a brush to a spagetti measurer. And now he has 3 toy guitars and plays them about 3 times a day. His favorite is when we turn on the music and use one of his other toy guitars and strum along with him :) Isn't it neat to see musical talent developing in your little boy!? I LOVE it!
Duly noted, Leanne. I guess I'll have to find a new moniker for the kid....
And Laura, yes, we love watching the musical talent develop in our boy. He loves playing along with any music videos that have guitar, drums or piano in them. It makes his daddy proud!
